1. How do I create a Lightness account?

To create an account you need to download the application at the store (Apple and Android).
Once downloaded, you can choose to create the account in three different ways:

  1. Via Google. As soon as you consent to Lightness to use your Google account, a new Lightness account will be created. Your Google email address will be assigned to your Lightness profile, while your username will match your email name. You can change your username at any time.
  2. Via Mail. By accessing “Continue with email” and then “Register” you can create a profile by entering your username, your e-mail address, and your password;
  3. Via Facebook. In this case, as soon as you consent to Lightness to use your Facebook account, a new Lightness account will be created. Your Facebook email address will be assigned to your Lightness profile, while your username will match your email name. You can change your username at any time.
  4. Via Guest Mode. This method provides for the creation of an instant user. You will not have to choose any username, password and email. Lightness will create a profile for you. You can later change the data at any time. To learn more, we invite you to learn more about the guest mode.

In all modalities and at the end of the registration process, you will receive a welcome e-mail from our group.

2. What is the Guest mode?

Guest mode provides for the creation of an instant user.

You will not have to choose any username, password and email.

Lightness will create a profile for you. You can later change the data at any time.
However, we recommend that you use Guest Monly only at the beginning of your experience, since the guest profiles are no longer accessible after the first logout.

This means that you will lose all the lanterns you have saved and any comments you left behind.

3. Can I modify my username?

Yes. You can change it at any time by going to Settings > Profile. In this section you can change your username.

The username must be unique and between 5 and 20 characters in length. Possible characters are alphanumeric and underscore “_”.

4. Why do I have to specify my town?

By specifying the city, the system automatically identifies the country of belonging. In this way you will be able to receive many more lanterns linked to your country of origin.

Currently not every city of the world are in our sistem. We are working on it.

5. How delete my account?

Losing someone in our community is always sad.

In any case, to delete your profile you can send an email to info@lightness.app with the request for deletion.

The request must come from the e-mail address associated with the profile for which the deletion is requested.
